A. 'Key Parting Tool HSS - HS107
Section 1/2" X 3/32"
Used with the widest width of the tool down on the rest, the tapered section gives tool clearance and stops binding.

B & C. 'Key' French Curve Scrapers HSS - HS108 & HS109
Section 1 1/2" X 3/8"
for larger work 1" X 1/4" for smaller work. The shape of the tool makes it easy to remove any ripples and undulations from the bowl gouge. Blending of curves is easy and outward side pressure on the walls of bowls is virtually eliminated when the tool is used correctly. (Side pressure can cause wood to flex and give a catch or dig in and shatter.)

The following Tools have been developed in cooperation with international expert Ray Key.

D. 'Key' Round Cutaway Scraper HSS - HS110 Section 3/4" X 1/4" For inside work with small openings the cut away section allows easier manipulation under any shoulder and minimises the chance of fouling the tool on the far side of the opening. E. 'Key' Shear Scraper HSS - HS111 Section 11/2" X 5/16" The stubby, heavy section and rounded edges make for easy use and damps down vibration. Used at an angle of 30° to 45 ° out of the horizontal, gives a fine finish on difficult timbers when used in this way, for bowls and flat work.
